Solid Rock News
Our initial goal was to launch in January or February 2026 but it may not actually happen until the Summer of 2026 based on our current efforts to get enough churches to commit along with providing the necessary volunteers to make this ministry a viable possibility. Between now and next summer, we plan to engage key churches one on one and build relationships with them to help move this minsitry forward. God's will God's timing not ours. About Solid Rock Recreation
Solid Rock Recreation is a Christ-Centered Recreation Ministry whose desires are to establish itself in the local Kings Mountain Community and by helping to bring small and medium-sized churches into a shared vision: to reach and nurture children and youth through the power of recreational fellowship and coming together in a collective group. Our mission is rooted in the belief that fun, active, and engaging environments can open doors for life-changing spiritual encounters.
We exist to create opportunities where both churched and unchurched young people can come together in a welcoming space—playing casual sports, laughing, learning, and growing in their understanding of who God and Christ is and how deeply they are loved by both.
By partnering with local churches, Solid Rock Recreation serves as a bridge—equipping congregations to extend their reach beyond their own walls and into the hearts of youth in their communities. Our goal is not just to entertain, but to plant seeds of faith, to water spiritual growth, and to help raise up the next generation of believers. Together, we are building more than community—we are building the Kingdom of God.
We very much encourage any new participating children, youth and their families to find their place at one of our listed church partners. It takes a village to get through life these days! We all need encouragement from others and a good home church should help provide that.
